I just got a look at my cylinder heads and found they are "915"'s......

Are these any good? what are your opinions?

probably not anymore....you can get better heads aftermarket.

which 915's do you have? They made a large exhaust valve and a small exhaust valve......they were supposedly one year only heads, 1967...big valve, closed chamber was all the rage back then.....but not anymore

Alot of guys like the 915's as they are easy to build compression with the closed chamber and you can put bigger valves in the non hp units easily. Still a desireable set of heads as far as factory originals go.

they are a closed chamber head. they are pretty good for a stock style head.i used them way back in the day. i wouldnt sink any money into them as stated before. for the money spent, get a set of aftermarket aluminum heads.

I just picked up a set of these for my 440. Someone had already cut in oversized (214-181) valves, hardened seats, ported, installed positive nylon valve stem seals etc, etc, etc, all the good stuff. Anyways, gave them $125 for them cause they said they didn't run right on their street car (bent valve). On the right motor combo these still work well! But as people have stated, aftermarket aluminum ones are so cheap now and outperform cast iron that unless you run into a deal like mine or are a die hard iron head person then you could have more $ into iron ones then a new set of aluminum.
