Working on building a 65 coronet clone. But I'm not sure. Was the hood scoop on A-990 the same as the 440 coronets?

What do you mean by 440 Coronet? The only factory hood scoop in 1965 was the one in the A990 package. There was not another factory hood scoop until 1967 on the SS Hemi package and then also the standard hood louvers on the R/T.

Yeah, I don't see them offered in the brochures, but see them on a lot of 65's. Are these aftermarket?

99.9% are aftermarket.

These are original cars

Correct me if I am wrong, but none of the original Hemi 65s were hard tops. Isn't that correct?

It is my understanding that all the 1965 Hemi cars were 2 dr sedans. No 4 drs, no hardtops, no convertibles, no wagons from the factory.

Heres a correct hood scoop.

Chris do you ever drive that awesome 65 Hemi Dodge ? I love that color on that A-990 car. That is a real one right ? Ron

i've noticed some steel repop scoops available occasionaly there usually pretty pricey but look to be very nice & correct.

most hard tops are awb or early 2% cars that had sedan doors "landy, fauble, sox & martin, lee smith"

we make them here at car crazy fiberglass. they cost 175.00 and are bolt-on. just let us know thanks mike

Is there a web site for this? My dad is interested in a hood scoop for his 65 belvedere. Thanks.

Brian
