I was wondering if anyone has put buckets from a A body into a belverdere etc.I can find lots of A body buckets but they look fairly wide

The A and B bodies used the same bucket seat frames but different tracks.

66-67 seat frames are interchangeable/correct for those years and 68-69 are interchangeable for those years....except 69 had standard headrests.

If you get the a body seats.....good luck on the tracks.

You will want to stick to 66-67 A or B seat frames to be correct. These are the ones with the vinyl covered steel back and lower side panels. The A body rear panels will be different because the top chrome piece is only about 1/2" wide whereas the B body top chrome piece is about 1.25" tall.

As I said earlier....the A body tracks will be different.

I found a pair of high back A body buckets at a swap meet and bolted them in my 70 B body. The seats had been recovered the frame and tilt lever showed them to be mid-70s seats. The outer two bolts fit my original factory bench seat holes. I had to make (drill) my own inner holes.
