My name's Pat and I live in S/E B.C., just above Spokane Wa. I've been into (all sizes of) Mopars for as long as I can remember. My friends and I are fairly obsessed with Mopar wagons and have probably a dozen that can hit the pavement every Spring. We also drag race a '67 C-body http://wagonsofsteelnorth.blogspot.com/ and your welcome to check it out but this is for B-bodies only so lets get back on track. A few years back I struck a deal with some friends in Washington to do a straight trade for a '64 330 wagon (that I've always wanted) for a '65 Coronet wagon that I had. We trailered our car down and spent a day of so going through my new '64. It was solid sheet metal wise but typical of a west coast car was moldy as hell and had no floors, like none. Someone was kind enough to cut the fuel line at the pump so the tank wasn't full of crap. It had the original poly in it and with some fresh points, used carb and replaced lines it flashed right up. It came with a 2.76 sure grip so we pressure washed the inside, faked some floors and bolted the front seat in. It drove like a musty old champion.
Since our friends were on their way for the season closer at Pacific Raceway and it was on our way home we decided to flog our new machine. We busted a manifold off unloading it from the trailer (woops) and the exhaust just fell off on it's own. It spun the tires easily and ran a best E.T. of 16.42 @ 83mph. A real barn burner.
So the plan as of now.
I'm in the parts collecting mode and plan to tear in this Winter. The ultimate goal is a two door AWB wagon. Finding 2dr post doors for a '64 is pretty much impossible so I may end up making them from two front doors. Probably only going to alter the front and will be using an A-100 straight axle. Power will start with a dual quad 440 that I have and retain the pushbutton torqueflite. Eventually an injected stroker will go in it's place but let's walk before we run.
Hope to meet some good like minded folk here and hopefully gain some knowledge and maybe parts to get this massive project going. My realistic finish date is 3 years but it may run sooner in primer.
