A Friend of mine saw this @grocery store in Anaheim the other day. I'm guessing it's a grey mkt car here....doesn't appear to me a car DOT would allow. Profile is reminiscent of a Shelby/Brock Daytona Coupe' Cobra.(pic #2)

Don't care for the wheels on that Benz though....nice set of Boranni wires would be puss. I'm a laced wheel junkie.

Needs more electronic crap in the interior.

I think it's more reasonably priced than a new loaded dually.

So it is a US legal car......I stand corrected. They should build one stripped of electric motors, traction control, abs, computers, video, heater, a/c, creature comforts crap, make it all business & get rid of a 1000 lbs...a GT SL....a true super light like the original 300 SL. Best looking car they've built since the SL. When I was young, our Family Doctor had a 300 SL roadster....sweet, sweet car.

but then Mercedes drivers wouldn't buy one

Holy ****,,,I have to admit to being impressed....a 4 liter V8 sparking memories of Cosworth 260' & 289's..twin turbo w/ turbos & exhaust bundled inside of cylinder banks. In a Car & Driver road test, it turned an 11.2 second 1/4 mile! 0- 60 in 3 seconds. Surprisingly it's not a complete boat anchor @ 3560 lbs.
Makes use of aluminum chassis,. has a magnesium hood. Now if they offered a non yuppie stripped model with crank windows.......hmmnn....2700 lbs? 1st Merc to pique my interest in decades.
