SOLD A426 HP Block for sale

You are buying an original A426 HP Block. This has a casting date of 9-26-64 and is an ORIGINAL HP Stamped block and not a restamped industrial block.

This block has been professionally hot tanked, magnafluxed and checked for damage and no cracks were found. This is standard bore but it sat for years and 4 of the cylinders will need sleeved as they have some pitting that will not bore out.

The deck surfaces are nice and the motor mount ears are fine as well.

I do have the main caps but they look to have been changed at one time and the block will need line honed.

This is a VERY RARE BLOCK to find in uncracked condition and would be perfect for your 1965 426 HP restoration.

The block with caps is 400.00 plus shipping. I can ship truck freight for between 150.00 - 300.00 depending on where you are.

I have an update on this block as I finally got it back from the machine shop. I misunderstood the machinist and thought it will need sleeves but he told me that it would only need sleeves to go .030. He said it should bore .060 fine and is standard bore currently. Also, the loose caps that I got with this engine appear to be the correct ones as they fit perfectly. There is one bellhousing bolt hole that has a small chipped place as shown. This is no issue and will not affect mounting at all. The date code is 9-22-64 and not 9-24-64 as I posted earlier.
The price reflecting this new information is 500.00 plus shipping.
