A833 parts interchange

I have a 70 Superbee with 383 & 4 speed all orginal # correct car built in 9/69. While decelerating in second gear, the tranny comes out of second gear. My trans shop told me I need second & slider hard parts besides basic overhaul.
I am fairly new to these old Dodges. I could use some help.
A vendor has a A 833 trans for sale, but it is an alunimun case. with the following # stamped on it.
RF833 3 90 87
I think it is an overdrive? All I want is the associated second gear pieces for my orginal tranny, Does anyone know if this will work?

Brewers performance as well, http://www.brewersperformance.com/. I have some spare parts from my last rebuild, I needed a doner unit as well and still have some of it left if you can be more specific, I'll have a look.

No, the aluminum trannys are OD like you said, but the main shaft and gears are different. There are also three styles of synchro assemblies so we should find out exactly what you have in case someone messed with it along the way. If you need good used parts chances are I have them so PM me if you want.

I have not yet taken trans apart, I just had the tranny guy drive it, he told me I would need second gear & the slide collar that is used with second gear, also a basic overhaul kit blockers syncros etc.
