Hi guys,
When Im back in the USA I want to buy a rebuild kit for my T/A's gearbox and possibly a new clutch/pressure plate while I'm at it.

Do we have a supplier on the website, or any recommendations as to where to get a good rebuild kit from and what to look out for in a kit? Also are all year 23 spline A833 trannys alike when looking to buy a rebuild kit?
....And what clutch kit are you using, and are you happy with it? My car is more a cruizer so looking for a street/strip setup.

cheers Dave

Check out http://www.brewersperformance.com

Not only do they have all the Mopar trans parts but can tell you exactly what you need for your year trans. They are mainly the same over the years with some slight differences.

For a clutch recommendation I like my McLeod setup. There are a few models to choose from based on your budget and power/use. I have one of their street performance Borg & Beck units and it has been great.

Another source for parts is http://www.passonperformance.com/

There are some differences in the synchro assemblies so you really should break your tranny down and see what you have. The early dogs are what I call the "bump" type, followed by the narrow "ramp" type for around 1968 then the wide "ramp" type for 70 and later I think. Not sure of the correct terms for the dogs but most who have had trannys apart seem to get my description. Note that the synchro hub, sliders, rings and dogs are a matched assembly - meaning you can't use the "bump" type slider with a "ramp" type dog - but you can swap the entire assembly into whatever tranny you have.
