A833 shifter boot ?

So I bought one, it’s not even 6 months old and it’s torn.
What’s the deal ? Are they all this cheap or something else ?

I bought it from vans auto. Great guys! Awesome service, I bought a few other things and no probs but now this is torn and I’m wondering if it’s common

Ahhh, Does yours look like this? How many pleats? That's what gives it flexibility.
