A833 Transmission Stamp

Has anyone seen a stamp like this on an A833 4 speed transmission? The pad where it is stamped is not smooth like all others that I have seen as you can see from this picture.
Also all that is stamped is PP833 4116 which is the date code of November 3, 1972.
No other numbers are present. There should be a sequence assembly number and the vehicle serial number.

I asked a friend who is a long time Mopar guy this question. He thought the same as you PurpleBeeper. I have looked all over the net and can't find any document that tells what that stamp means. So I think you are correct. Thanks for your input.
