I have a question on casting dates on block parts such as if the casting date on a block is 11-8-68 should the heads intake exhaust manifolds be the same? Or how close would you expect them to be.Body Mopar Forums
They would likely be within a month of the block. Depends on the time of production cycle. Nov being at peak of new model year runs, s o supply chain should be pretty close in production date on all components.
Not trying to hijack this thread, but I have a few questions too. So I have 10/67 440 Block for a 11/67 build date (1968 GTX), would this be considered numbers matching.
Reason I am asking, 1967 was last year for VIN's on block (correct me if I am wrong, please) So really, early production year 1968 vehicles would still have the VIN's on their blocks? So, really my car would be period correct, not numbers matching?
