About To Paint My Charger

I am about to paint my 1974 Charger and was wondering what color would look the best? I am thinking about blacking it out or paint it orange with two black racing stripes. Any suggestions? Also the bumpers would be painted not chromed and it has Black plasti dipped wheels

I love the body style on these Chargers and there is several colors that come to mind with me, one is of course black but there is one other and ive had the pic since i found it, if i ever re-paint my 73 i think this is what i want, even the Keystones these colors go great, I think especially on the Charger!

All I can say is picking a color is one of the hardest decisions to make unless you're going factory stock. Maybe go into the 71-74 thread and look at some pictures there of chargers. Maybe one of those will grab your eye.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo black stripes. I think what would look killer would be either a bright green like the Viper rattlesnake green or Orange with a flat blacked out hood center like they used to do on those Chargers. My 2 cents

Here's a few of my cars some are gone but you get the idea of color s if you look my threads up there's a few other 71-74 style chargers in different colors also

first of all. welcome to FBBO!!!!! secondly, what are your plans for the car? D/D? weekender? I even like the plum on these cars. the main reason for asking is that you can get into a pile of cash in a big big hurry, and not have the car that you envisioned. its obvious that you guys are enjoying this car! that is awesome. but don't make the kind of changes that take the fun away. if you spend 4000.00 on paint and materials, you may not get the urge to be posing on the hood. I don't have an issue with the pic, but it is expensive. the point is to have a plan. and enjoy your car, after all, that is why you bought it, right?

The Luxury Brown Pearl Coat they're putting on the 2015 Chrysler 200s would look amazing on that car, but I think that color would cry out for chrome bumpers.
