Hi all, when I got my 68 Coronet it didn't have a blower motor or fan, so brought them in and worked out I'm missing a blower motor plate to mount it.

So I put a post up asking for one brought it and received this:

Not what I was. Expecting but thought it, it must be right. Test fitting tonight I have no idea how it should work.

Looking at the manual:

It looks nothing like what I have. Do I have a non AC plate? Or how do I make this plate work?

Thanks in advance!

The motor uses 2 rubber I mounts that slide in those slots. then you put the studs through them and snug it down. The pic in the book look to be an Older style than a 68. I have some heater boxes so I will look today for you but from what I am thinking the plate looks rite. You just need those I gromets.

That looks like a non A/C plate. The Fan for an A/C car has 3 bolts on the outside of the fan itself, no 2 at the end of the fan for a non A/C car. You can see in this pic what it looks like. This is from a 69, not sure about a 68, but I think its the same.

That is a non a/c box. It uses a 1 piece grommet part# 2485429 and steel grommets for bolt hole. The bolt hole section slides into the slots on cover.
They are hard to come by nos, best bet to put a wtb post asking for a good used one..

The one I have is NON A.C so thats why I posted about the motor mount. I don't have an A/C box and now after seeing one I agree with Clemul !

MoparfanUSA looks like he has a pic of what I need. MoparfanUSA could you please measure how thick the rubber insulators are?

I wonder if I can just make it.seams like a flat bit of steel with a folded lip, drill some holes, walah. Anyone just made one?

This is the heater box I have:

And this is the Blower motor:

Bump,

Going to attempt to make the plate out of Aluminum sheet I have laying about on the weekend. Any measurements / advice would be great.

Cheers!
