Hello, I picked up a 518 pan for my 727, which I am told is deeper than even MP's "deep" pan. The cost was not bad either, at $12 from a trans house, and it has a provision for a magnet. The only drawback is that it does not have a drain plug. Any suggestions on what I should use, and where I should locate it? I know they have some that sandwich against the pan, I'm thinking welding would be better. Or is the whole thing just a waste of time and a liability?
Thanks

How often do you change your trans fluid? Not having a drain plug isn't really a drawback imo. If you have to drop the pan to drain the fluid, you might actually change the filter and adjust the low/reverse band. :D Actually, if you lower the pan right, you won't even make a mess.

if I had my " DRUTHERS'.....id "druther" have a way to drain it easily.....weather i needed to drain it or not. im all about easy....im all about it!

Only advantage to having a drain plug is not getting the mess when you finally drop the pan to replace the filter.
