I bought a Ron Francis wiring harness. I took all the old wiring out yesterday. The instructions say to mount on near the drivers side kick panel. On my factory ac car, there is just no room. Any of you guys crossed this bridge? Where did you put it? I really don't care for the glove box access and this fuse panel is magnetically mounted so you can pull the hole thing down for maintenance.

Wiring Panel Relocate

I just purchased the Bare Bonz kit for my 66 satellite and plan on mounting it on the driver kick panel just below where the old bulk head junction used to be.

Really like the magnetic holder they offered.

Good Luck

I like the magnetic holder too. I suppose we are limited by how long the pigtails are. I am leaning towards the area near the old bulkheak connector too. The factory air connctions really limit you

Received the Kit yesterday. Really excited about getting started. Got to paint the engine compartment first. Also bought the grounding kit. When I purchased the satellite it also came with alot of splices.

Rick I hope you keep us updated on the installation. I'm looking at one for my 67 Satellite.

64SF will do just waiting for the Vitamin C engine bay paint that I ordered.

Having second thoughts about mounting the panel up in the driver kick panel. Not alot of room up in there. Anybody install the fuse panel in the trunk area?

I wound up putting mine back close to the factory location. Once I got all the ac vents hooked up, there wasn't a lot of choices left. I personally would stay as close to the dash as possible. If you put it much farther away, you will be splicing a lot of wire and running a lot under the carpet. I would consider under the front seat maybe? Why not back in the stock location? Here is a pic of the firewall block I made for mine. I still have quite a few more wires to tun thru it. Good luck!

Nice job! Hope you'll keep positing photos.

Bare Bonz Fuse block

Where did you wind up mounting yours at? Not alot of room under the dash.

I wind up fabricating a thin steel plate and attached it to the back of the fuse block. Goona use a magnet to hold it in place. Will take a photo once installed. The plate you used over the old bulk head connector looks really good.

My 63 Fury. Screwed new fuse/relay panel to the firewall to left side of the clutch pedal, just above where the carpet ends.

looks good Dave. I have wires coming out of my ears! also having nightmares about wires! Here is a couple shots of the work in progress. Spent the last several days under the dash. Sounds like you know what I am talking about. With any luck get to start it next week finally!
