Getting 8 bucks back....better than paying 8 lol

Mine were accepted by IRS on Feb. 5th and today when I checked up on them I was told they have no record of my filing. One good thing is I owe them money but I wonder where my tax return went?

Pretty good. The closest I've come is a $48 return. However, one year my wife decided not to check her W-4 had for some reason she had too many exceptions and we owed $1800

Getting money back is better than paying in. I'm still waiting to here from our tax guy to see if we have to pay in cause we got charged $20,000 in extra earned income from our foreclosure. We have a real good tax guy though.

I think it all depends on how you look at it...For those with no savings, getting back is definately better than writing a large check. Just realize that in reality, the money you get back is YOUR MONEY that they had all year. Dialing into zero is ideal, and Cranky $8 is closer than anything I have heard of! At my current income, if I come in within $1,000 (either side), I see it as a well calculated tax year.

My tax guy called and said he had good news and bad news. The good was that I was getting a refund and the bad news was it's only 8 bucks. In my eyes, if I'm within 100 bucks either way, it's good news lol. He also said in all his years of doing this, there's only been a couple of returns that came out '0' and someone has me beat by 5 bucks so far. One thing I've always tried not to do is let Uncle Sam handle my savings :D This year was a surprise because my wife had some earnings and figured that would put us into the pay column.

8? That's awesome!
The last 2 years I have added a new dependent. First my wife then last year my son. I'm still trying to dial down to zero. But the returns are nice!!
Paid off my student loan.

I had a zero year once, I think it was 2004. Have never come close since, business fluctuates too much, I think my Zero year was just dumb luck.

I am getting $874 back from state, but owe the Fed $15,610!

.....we'll, if you're ever in Arlington sir, we'll take that $8 and throw it in for beer money!

I had a few perfect ones back when I was in the AF. I didn't give them anything and they didn't give me anything .. now days people don't give them anything and they get a bunch back errr a handout.

I've been with-in $100 a few times, I usually have to pay thou... not this year...LOL... screw Owedumba$$ & all them in the Senate, the tax & spend Progressive Libiots, they ain't getting any from me this year, thank goodness...

Cranky did good, getting "your own money back" means you paid too much during the year!
