Last year went to the BGR Classic. Won N/SS on Saturday, runner up Sunday. This year won N/SS on Saturday, semi final on Sunday. .400 full tree is hard to get a read. The evil red light both years. Though a .004 r/t got me the bye into the final Saturday, and a .020 r/t got a bye into the semi's on Sunday. Casey Fauss-Johnson beat me on Sunday last year and won. He won again Sunday this year as well. Had a great time. My son Scott's turbo 62 Savoy won the heads up street car shoot out with a 9.89@136 and lost two close races in Pro, .0008 B/O on Sunday. Congrats to Casey on his Victory. Does this look like a 9.89 street car?

Congratulations, Doug. Tough to stay that near the top consistently. Your son's car is too much! Wonder how many peoples' jaws have hit their chests when he spools it up. Are there other pictures of his car on here? Love to see the set-up. BTW, your car is one of my favorites on this site, along with ilm65s, 383mans, Hemi-itis's, Sonny's, and a couple of others.

No, I would say it doesn't . . . but i will say that it looks COOL ! ! ! Love it !

No hassle about the bar, old pic. It does have a legal tig welded 10.0 bar, aftermarket balancer, axles, belts, and a diaper. He also wear's complete firesuit and neck guard. It will get the rest of the bars soon, just haven't had time. Here's a tune up round against 340 Ricks 3 gen Hemi. They ran 9.89-9.85 in the semis. Scott's .010over a .090 for the win

Kind of speechless. That car is a real sleeper. Would hate to be embarrassed by it in a street race - not that we ever do that anymore.......

Congrats to both of you. Thats the ultimate sleeper for sure. Sounds like you guys have really done your homework on the turbo setup. Ron

Thanks, Doug. I can't wipe the smile off my face after watching that video. Too cool...

I cant take a whole lot of Credit for the 62. It was my sons vision. He's been going to the track with me since he was a kid. I help but the engine build, tune, and vision are his. i'm very proud of him. he has learned well. The only thing that hasn't rubbed off is the outer body stuff, we are definitely different.

You know Doug I did not know he was your son until about a week ago. Thats great you guys go racing together. But you better slow him down or he may be catching up to dad ! My oldest son bought my Dart you see here from me real cheap when I bought my 63 as I sold the Dart to him and he likes it. This is my my oldest sons Dart as it had a 383 in it and we put a mild 400 in it as its just a driver street car but it runs 11.40's @ 117. We raced each other 4 times this day as we did a father-son shootout back in 2007. I had my old 440 in back then as both cars ran 11.40's as he beat me twice and I beat him twice. They were that close. It is fun racing with your son. He got married last year and just had a baby so he has not had it out much in the last year or so. And he did redlite here. Ron
