Any tricks for tightening the alternator belt on a 1970 Coronet 383 with a/c without the use of a specialty tool? Pics would be good. Thanks guys.

A long screwdriver as a pry bar, but not too tight. I use the diameter of my socket to measure a decent deflection.

Ya, I always use a crow bar/Wonder bar for the leverage & the ratchet in hand to tighten the alt bolt. Check the tension with about 3/4 finger depth deflection.
