Both are good parts, I prefer AMD having used from both suppliers. They use a heavier gauge material than Year One, this adds strength and durability. Check around with some of your local shops, they may be able to get you a better price.

first off you can get a much better price for the amd
if you go thru a amd dealer that will give you a discount.
unless you are buying alot amd will charge you more then
one of thier dealers will
jeff at 521 restorations is one good source.
yo will sell you the cheapest thing they can get thier hands on.
they are only a middleman.
i bet after you get a quote from jeff at 521
the price spread will be alot closer...

The S&H is what concerns me, the $40 difference in part price I can deal with; but a $175 shipping fee? It would be like buying two of them almost.

I checked the AMD website and found a shop not too far away, I'll call them tomorrow (today, lol) and get a price

I have dealt with 521 Restorations and Dante from Dantes Mopar Parts. Both are great to deal with and won't fleece you on shipping

Go with the AMD from Jeff@521 Restorations. Great guy to do business with and like previously stated he offers a discount to Bbody members.

go with jeff at 521 very nice guy I just ordered a very large order threw him I had a quarter panel badly damaged during shipping he has worked with me along the way in trying to get my parts replaced very nice guy to deal with ! good luck !

I contacted AMD about shipping and this is the email I got in response.

"Thanks for getting back to me. Honestly, I can’t really do anything with shipping. This item is too large to ship via Fedex, UPS or USPS. The only option we have for shipping this item is truck freight. Truck freight shipping is costly but it’s due to the size of the product."

If that's the case, then I don't think Jeff can assist me much.

Eh... Let me mull it around in my head for a little bit, I know this won't be the only part I have to buy; I might try and get a few parts before sending the car to the shop. That would make the shipping cost more reasonable.

I like to do business with forum members - if I would have known about Jeff I would have considered him.

Having said that, I bought my AMD stuff from Summit and Jegs. They offer free shipping and great prices.

Check with you local parts store. Some of the non chain stores sell body panels.

Damn Fly, spelling....grammar...proper punctuation. Your mom could be reading this.

And!

YearOne sells AMD (most parts anyway), save with there 25%-30% off most times too. But if you need more body parts order online through AMD and shipping is only $135.00.

We got some cheap ones from Rock Auto. They looked like someone made them by hand.
I mean, the had marks on them for the bends.
I had to use a hammer to make them fit.
Lots of cutting too since the gave you extra metal. They were good and thick though.
I didn't care about looks since the Charger isn't a show car and it saved a bunch of money
Carpet on top and sealer underneath hides it.
I put in frame connectors at the same time.

I ordered all my panels through http://www.classicdiscountparts.com . They did price matching for everything that wasn't already cheaper and their shipping was really good. I did have them ship it straight to my body guy though, so I think the shipping was a little cheaper that way using business freight. All of the panels I ordered were AMD. I had a great experience with them, not sure if anyone else has used them.

I have a local dealer who gets a shipment every month and there is no shipping cost contact AMD and they will tell you there dealer in your area it could be a guy that sells chevy parts he can order a mopar part for you and you could pick it up at his place that is what I do.

I have a 67 satellite and I got mine from classic to current. they are in mich. and they got it to me the next day! the floor were better than expected....thanks
