but they have the same wheel size as a mopar 5x4.50 bolt circle,is there any reason they would not fit a 69 b body? they are 15x8. i can buy them cheap but i need to know if there could be any problems with fit.
The bolt pattern and center hole match, it's the offset on stock jeep wheels that are the issue. They're off by about 1/8" to 1/4" and grind on the top control arm. We put stock jeep wheels on my 70 RR to get her trailered and moved from my grandmother's property to mine. The original wheels were rotten. If the offset is right, they should fit.
offset will be but one concern..you will also find the later model Mopar factory alloys hub centric..HOWEVER on some application the center hole of the wheel is you next larger concern where front hub/bearing noses must protrude through and the later are actually carrier bearing design with flat faces. There are ways around this..there are even a couple model wheels that actually take this into account and still be offset...modifying a newer alloy for retrofit is a process and often you make concessions...building my 51 Plymouth Suburban wagon I wanted the Jeep Canyon wheels..the smaller centers were enlarged without any loss of integrity and in no manner affected the centric mounting hub. The face was milled flat for the application of standoffs and spinners, other center cover options open and available to suit your build/taste. This was inexpensive, gave me the 15 x 7 wheels I wanted and affords the slight aggressive look I was shooting for.
