they had a booth at sema last year.pretty cool stuff, not sure how durable it is.looks great though.

Another fine job by Cranium! When the Mexicans in my area find out about this we will see all chrome 64 Impalas!

Very cool process and I will be looking into this for dash plastic restoration.

It's an interesting idea/product. I went to the website www.chromesolutions.de ... almost no useful information other than the website has been up for 3+ years and is still under construction. Anyone else find better info?

Want it.....Need it......Gotta have it. Where would you get that stuff? I bet Leno has it in 55 gallon drums.

I found something that looks similar, called CosmiChrome @ www.cosmichrome.com/home.htm

yep not much info there...

Another one was Spectra Chrome @ www.sprayonchrome.com/techdata.html

I just used Google Search & used water base chrome coatings for the search criteria... there are more

yeah it's not cheap for the system, $7500-$9500 & $1500 for a mini booth, I wonder if you can just get chemicals ??, if you have the rest of the stuff/tools compressor, spray guns, tub & drain/screen etc. to do it...

I went through some of the follow on vids and this is pretty cool and cheap too

OMG! not worth it unless you start a business. I'd like to know what chemicals too. Maybe search for plating mirrors on google.

This stuff reminds me of what the gold platers use to "bling" out the Lexus or whatever. The gold plating of all the emblems and such.

very interesting hmmmmmmmmmmm.

I've got to do some research on that - just about every piece of chrome on my '67 R/T is pitted - inside and out.

Another alternative to chrome is nickel plating - Walker uses nickel on their heavy truck exhaust stacks - looks like chrome - but the nickel plating won't crack off if the stack gets dented - have no idea what it costs to have done in relation to a re-chrome job - anyone have any experience with nickel plating?

I had this done on my dash plastic. It looks very good --closest thing to actual chrome. It is as durable as the clear coat paint used as the last step. Some clears may yellow in time. I may have my headlight C rings done as you can use body plastic to smooth out small dings and then spray chrome right over it. It will chrome anything that will take paint. ............................MO

Most of what we think of as "chrome", like your bumpers, is already nickel plated, over copper plate. The actual chrome is a very thin flashing over the nickel.

The last time this was posted, no one could find any info except the Leno vid...

...and the site for the product was "in development" since 2009.

Is there any new info?

I found another company that sells mirror plating chemicals... {photos below} covers 25 sq.ft. "roughly" for $289 Alsa Corp. Chrome FX @ www.alsacorp.com/products/chromefx/

Maybe those guys died of cancer from those chemicals.

yeah I LMFAO but it's supposed to be bio-degradable & water based... the stuff from England cost $600 & $225 is just the shipping... it might not be the bio safe stuff
