Another Cable shift Question

1965 Belvedere Auto on the column. When the car was stripped for paint, the cables were taken off the column instead of the trans end. How difficult is it to re-attach at the column(the trans end will be off as the valve body is being changed)? One of the little tiny clips for the colum linkage has gone missing. Does anyone know where I can get one?

I had the same problem ,i had to hook a cable up.it can be done ,It may take 2 people ,on one of the cable,s you may have to get it from underneath,have a friend on top hold the rubber water shield back on the column so you can install ,it.Do you have any carb linkage clips laying around ,you can use one of them.same size ,good luck
