I have a 73 Roadrunner and there is no cowl area to mount a gauge. I could mount it to the left fender just by the windshield and I can see it perfectly. But I hate to drill a hole to mount it. :( Would a strong double sided tape suffice in mounting it to the windshield trim just behind the hood?

I am not sure if it would hold but I would strongly recommend against doing it.

Do you have the mechanical gauge already? if not get an electric fuel pressure gauge and mount it inside on the dash like mine.

Tape will not hold the gage outside the car. As SuperStockRacer mentioned, if it is an electric/non-mechanical gage, then mounting inside is a great idea. By NHRA rules (and for safety) mechanical gages MUST be mounted outside of the passenger compartment.

I never had a '73 Road Runner, but do you have the "cowl slits" like a Charger? What if you fabricated a bracket that goes THROUGH the slits so that you can attach it to something in the engine compartment or drill a hole on the firewall in the engine compartment to attach the bracket. Can you picture that? Just a thought

Too many problems with isolators. Varying engine bay temps. make your gauge fluctuate
