Looking for antenna delete plug- nos or excellent condition used. Let me know. Thank you, Mark

For what car?

On my 66, there simply was no hole punched in the fender.

Had a 64 and a 62 radio delete cars and no hole in the fender on those too.

Antenna was shipped in the trunk and was dealer installed. My 66 Satellite was installed on passengers quarter near front of trunk. Seen them on drivers side quarter besides the standard passengers front fender.

So you are saying the dealer drilled the hole in the fender??? Or just the mast was shipped in the trunk. NOS fenders had the hole stamped in them with the little tang marks in the side for the alignment of the antenna. I assumed the factory was the same.

Sorry about that my friends. 1972 Charger, radio delete. Here's a pic of what I think it should look like. If I 'm wrong, school me, please.

My car has no hole or repair in front fender and antenna was on quarter. Can't say anything about NOS fenders. Member moparnation74 did a restoration For the Love for my Father, My 69 GTX Restoration
some where he points out about the dealer installing antenna, somewhere in there. I looked from page 90 to 120 not on those. It would make sense not to install on production line they could easily be broken during shipping.

That antenna hole on 66 and up atleast had to be punched by the factory. There's no way they could have drilled that hole with the clocking tabs in it to hold the antenna base at the dealer after paint. I like the idea but it just couldn't happen I don't think without massive paint correction needed on the top of the fender and with the shape it is, it had to be punched out by a stamping machine.

My 66 does have a correct 1966 AM radio but has custom, rear quarter mounted dual antennas.

My guess is that it was dealer installed and the owner specified (and possibly provided) the aftermarket antennas.

I am pretty sure I have seen a template that aligns over the (66-70) fender to cowl area to position the antenna hole in the factory location.

If a radio was ordered from the factory, the factory supplied the hole. If ordered at the dealer the hole was drilled there. They supplied a template to mark the hole. Same as luggage racks. I installed many of both at the dealer.

Stop calling it Radio Delete. The radio was an option so you can't delete an option!

After going back to the original sales brochure, the radio was optional equipment. Learn something everyday. Thanks kk

My 71 Charger R/T is a non radio & non tinted glass car. I have or had 1 of those delete plugs around here somewhere, haven't seen it for a few years. I removed it from a late 70's early 80's 1/2 ton SWB former US Forest Service truck.
