hi guys,

just finished my 512 stroker i have put 2 edelbrock 500 cfm (1404) carbs on and have the edelbrock throttle linkage. just wondering if anyone else has done this or similiar,

because i am sort of unsure which way the carbs go i used to have a single 4 bbl and the throttle linkage went on drivers side. but with the duals the throttle linkages on the carbs go the opposite way so do i have to put them on the passenger side.

or keep drivers side and somehow mount throttle cable. does anyone know which length cable i would need and what throttle cable bracket i would need for this.

not having much luck finding anything

Try the Bouchillon Performance throttle cable mount. It can be adapted to almost anything. Talk to Randy - really helpful Good 'Ol Boy...

should look like this. driver side picture.

lewtot exactly like that, i have the carbs intake and the same linkage you have but if you would be able to help me by telling where to get the brackets to hold cable, return springs, the cable as well.

also what is that bracket on passenger side for? i have a hemi air cleaner (oval) going on top and it was hitting all the fuel lines i made up for it so now i have got bendy ones but they ones you have look like they might work better too.

any help would be appreciated

Not sure I follow about throttle linkage going the opposite way. Lew's setup is as correct as it gets, and with the rear carb being closer to the firewall, the factory throttle cable should work fine. You may have to make or modify the cable clamp and holder, and something for the throttle pressure, but not much more.

Here is a factory hemi setup. The rear carb is a real hemi carb but has an AVS throttle shaft so I had to make an adapter, but function is identical. You can see how Lew's setup is functionally identical to the factory.

the throttle cable bracket is a modified stock '65 big block bracket. i made the return spring brackets but probably some stock big block brackets could've worked. the bracket on the passenger side is a coil mount. the long rod going to the back of the manifold and down is a kickdown rod i fabbed.
