Hi all,

I am in the process of patching the passenger rear quarter of my 65 Coronet. Replacing the trunk extension as well. Found rust in the wheelhouse, However it is just at the bottom where both the trunk extension and quarter skin are joined to the wheelwell. I found outer wheelhouses for a 62-65 plymouth but not for the coronet. I know the lower quarters are a bit different but is there any real difference in the wheelhouses? I really just need the lower 5 inches so I have something to weld the new trunk extension to and lap the quarter skin over.

You might be able to reshape the Belvedere panel to fit the Coronet or just make a patch panel. Good luck!

Lip shape is slightly different between 64 Dodge and Plymouth. My bet is 65 is the same. Dodge has a body line about 1/2" above the wheel lip. The Plymouth does not. We just ran into the issue on a 64 Dodge. Had to hammer form the body line in the replacement panel.
