I have a few 1-piece kickdown rods and I'm trying to figure out what their applications are.

I believe they are from 71 or 72 SB engines to 727 trans, but not sure. They have almost the same exact shape, but there are a few small dimensional changes. Halfway down the rod there is a '55' stamped into one, and the other has a '56'. I don't know if those numbers mean anything at all.

I done some searching but haven't come up with any way to ID these parts.

Thanks!

Pictures? Here is what big block ones look like.

I find it intriguing that the "RB" engine one appears to be for a shorter engine, yet not longer than the "B" engine one either.

Yes, pictures would be helpful. Sorry about that. I'll take some to show them together in just a bit when I get back downstairs.

Here they are side by side.

Like I said, I suspect they are 71/72 Small Block (727?) as that is mainly what I have owned/parted out.

The 'silver' one is stamped "55" and the other is "56". The shapes are very close to each other.

Here you can see how the one has a longer 'tail' than the other.

This shows a bit more of the difference in the length of the two.
