Dodge 270 CID Red Ram Hemi. This is a complete rebuildable engine - not currently running. Terrific hot rod motor with great appearance and excellent economy. Asking $1000 . I have more than this into the motor. Don't tell my wife . . .at rod deuce 1932 ford truck

I saw that ad, I just find it odd he is asking $1000 and that he has more than that into it...the motor has not been cleaned up at all, nor does it look like anything has been done to it. The price I think is a bit to high for a 270.

yea but **** happens also. i know i have bought high and sold low more than once. i have a brother in ptbo who could look see. i don't know anything on pricing though, thats why i put it here if anybody is interested. who knows. i have enough stuff around me now. lol
 
If it's a complete and good core and not locked up or froze busted, he's in the ball park. I got my 331 Hemi for 400 bucks, but I was in the right place at the right time. Early hemi valve covers usually go for around 300 bucks if they are good and straight and not rusted all to hell. The little red ram motors are particularly desireable because they are the smallest of the early hemis and will fit in small spaces yet still have that cool hemi look.
