yeah, looks like rope was the chain of the day. Who knows what they found upon disassembly, but they didn't get too far.
Unless the cost of getting it bored and milled stopped them.
Looks like a "used" motor. The only things you can salvage are the crank, rods (which probably need work), rockers and block.
So to the get the block machined, new pistions, rework the rods, heads, cam, lifters, pushrods and an intake.
