Has anyone managed this? My 72 rear valance is solid, but extremely wavy and dented. I would rather graft the top contour onto a 71 reproduction than fight with straightening it out any more.
That's a new AMD '71 valance. As most would be aware, you can't buy reproduction '72 valances (yet).
I wanted dual cutouts....and since the my original non-cutout valance was damaged anyway, it wasn't a hard decision to swap it out. I did consider doing what the OP mentioned, but after seeing the '71 valance on the car I didn't think the extra effort to modify it was worth the cost involved.
