Anyone seen a NASCAR motor from 60-70's--what color were they painted?

Anyone seen a Richard Petty (or whoever raced Mopars) motor in a real NASCAR car? I wonder what color they painted those old wedges/hemis when they were running on the race tracks?

I would think that would vary with the builders...

I looked all over the internet for actual old school Nascar cars those were the only 2 that looked authentic. But you know Petty wasn't going to go Orange.. :) Petty's Hemi was either turquoise or petty blue.. Hard to say from that picture. Here is the engine from the tribute car.

Photo 1 above; Petty must have had some Ford blue engine paint left over from his Ford stint the previous 1969 year.
