Anyone seen a NASCAR motor from 60-70's--what color were they painted?

Anyone seen a Richard Petty (or whoever raced Mopars) motor in a real NASCAR car? I wonder what color they painted those old wedges/hemis when they were running on the race tracks?

I would think that would vary with the builders...

I looked all over the internet for actual old school Nascar cars those were the only 2 that looked authentic. But you know Petty wasn't going to go Orange.. Petty's Hemi was either turquoise or petty blue.. Hard to say from that picture. Here is the engine from the tribute car.

Here is another 68/69 nascar hemi in a barn. Found in this article.

And this one from another article. So yea I would say they vary from builder to builder.
