Anyone use lojack or other Vehicle locators

I am thinking about investing in one and wanted some opinions. My car is a daily driver and I don't have a garage.

My truck came with one installed, it has never been stolen so I guess you could say I've never actually used LoJack but it does give me a discount on my insurance

I bought a car once that already had it in there, and there were a few times when I forgot to bring the key fob with me on a drive, and sure enough, they called me right away.

I've had one in the Bee since 05 when we went on the power tour. The thought of waking up and everything gone 5 bazillion miles from home wasn't an option. Now it's like a handgun, I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it! Plus insurance discounts pays for the service ;D

There has got to be a cheaper alternative than Lojack. Even phones have GPS now. Check out what they call "spy shops". They sell stuff for surveillance of cheating spouses and ****. They do have car trackers out there for sale.

There's thousands of them laying in the bottom of the East River. Probably wound up there before the cars owners even realized they were stolen in the first place. Chop shops here in NY work FAST!!!
