Recently purchased a 70 RR with Bucket seats.....was wondering if anyone has replaced their stock buckets seats with any other type of used OEM seats? If so please reply with photos.......

Don't have any pics but I stuck in a set of 1964 Impalla seats into a 66 Belvedere which should be the same floor as a 70. They sat low and had to be blocked to sit level....but I doubt that's going to help much. In more recent times, I installed a set of Duster seats into my present 66 and they fit much better but I still had to shim them since the tracks are different.

I prefer the interior of my cars to stay stock appearing, but.....
After a 995 mile trip last week, I may be open to other options. The seats used in SRT4 Neon cars are nice. They have modest side bolsters and are lighter than seats in newer cars. They didn't have air bags in them and some were supposed to be NON power, saving weight even more.

Summit racing buckets.

I'd like advice too. I put buckets from a 1988 fwd Daytona in / in 1988. 69 Coronet. Sweet and comfortable for over twenty years. They are wearing out. Looking for comparable modern buckets that will bolt to existing tracks. Considered Chrysler Sebring seats with built in belts, but look like a hassle. Went with XV 3 points.

I am currently repairing a pair of bucket seats out of a '92 Dodge Ram. I am impressed with their dimensions and their construction, they appear to be both strong and comfortable. I will post a few photos after I get them fixed.

I've used mustang seats, neon seats. Just mod the brackets to fit the floor. Not the other way around. When I get a chance I will dig up pics.

Promises, promises.

Dennis, which seats are you using?

Almost any SRT4 or 8 seat would make me happy. Even the ones in the Jeep look great.

My 69 belvedere came with seats that are some other OEM, but i have no idea what. Closest thing I've seen, believe it or not, are Volkswagon beetle seats. Theyre comfortable and pretty lightweight, less than 20lbs each.

Of course, instead if fabbing brackets, the PO welded these big ol bars in. Makes fitting a carpet hell...

That frame rail going through the floor pan isn't going to help with carpet installation either. :)
