Restoring a 66 Satellite and found a nice set of Belvedere bumpers and need to make sure they are the same. Thanks for the Help!

Satellites have the rubber bumpers on them....? Or was that an option on it? Other than that, no difference.

yes , bel and sat bumpers will interchange . sat may have more options , bumper guards , grille protector that type stuff . all the same brackets and mounting .

Thanks Guys for the quick replies! I felt certain the bumpers were the same but being somewhat new to the 66 Satellite I didn't want to make an expensive mistake. Thanks Again!

one of my favs is a 66 sat , had one as a kid . great looking car , hope you get it together .

Mine came with bumper guards from the factory. They're listed as an option on my Chrysler Historical info. I don't know if all Satellites came with bumper guards or not - could have been. Seems like Satellites came with all of the bells and whistles for the most part.
My front bumper was replaced in '66 or '67 when the original owner took it out with a mailbox. The replacement doesn't have the guards (I have a picture of the car new with the guards). I suppose it was just replaced with something they had in stock or could get quicker - likely a Belvedere bumper.

Satellite & Belvedere bumpers are the same. My Belvedere II came with the 'rubber strips' option. They were not in pristine condition, and replacements are not currently available (that I could find anyway). I had Tri-City plating in TN (http://www.tricityplating.com/) fill the rubber strip bolt holes when they straightened & re-plated the bumpers. I know I deleted an option, but those front ones wrapped around the ends and made the bumper look much bigger than it already is. Glad I deleted them.

The 67 Belvedere bumper will also interchange but those came with the parking/turn signal lights in them. In a pinch, if you needed a bumper and have a 67 on hand and it needs rechormed, the holes for the lights can be filled in.

Thought that the bumper brackets and holes were in different locations because of the park/turn signal lights. I could be wrong but think I read that in a post awhile ago.

The brackets might be different.....have no idea but if you have them, they will bolt onto the car.
