Unless you have a later k frame installed, you have the wrong isolators for a 65. Early B isolators have studs at the bottom.

Well it seems these are big block mounts from a '60 413 I sold last year.

My small block brackets are sitting on the table in the other part of my shop having just been painted then forgotten about.

If I have any ambition tonite I will try to bolt the idolaters to those brackets and start over!

I have a new set of isolaters...I still have to modify the 727 x member I have to fit the 833 I'm using...

They look more like '66-'70 mounts. '60 413 mounts would mount flat to crossmember.

Dunno ...came off of a '60 413 motor that I bought for the block.

The mounts on your engine appear to be 66-72 318 motor plates.
Big block have a different bolt pattern and won't fit.
Still have mounts availible when you figure out what you got.

Here are the correct motor mount plates for a 318 in a 65.
Then you can buy the previously posted new insulators, or take a chance with some older used ones.

Well I'll snap some pix tomorrow and post them. Maybe we can figger out what I have in stock vs what I need.

Going to be a late night for me...I'm loading pizza crusts right now to deliver this afternoon...then picking up a load of Dreyer's ice cream to deliver @ 9pm tonite at a grocery warehouse. Those joints are notorious for wasting a guys time. The last time I was there it looks six hours to get unloaded.

Film at 11...

Yes, those are 'early' B big block. the insulators are same as 318, L and R.

Ok plan B ...

These brackets came off of a later LA engine...the isolators are listed for a '65.

I dont have a dog in this fight. BUT those are LA 318 mounts . Mounted on wrong side of block, and have insulators that dont fit an early B body K frame.
dont put a square peg in a round hole.

Yes those are LA mounts from a later K frame.

You are correct those insulators are not correct no matter what the catalog sez...

I just went out and looked at the one insulator I have on the car.

Regarding the square peg in the round hole I could easily adapt those wrong parts to work... An hour or so with my drill press, mig welder and some steel would do the trick.

But those parts are so cheap there's no need to fab my own stuff.

So I have one correct insulator. The search for truth continues...

The search for truth ended in post #8.
Just need to search for those parts.
