ash tray removal 68 RR

Hello everyone I am trying to remove my ash tray assy from my 68 RR. Its the slide door kind. Ive removed the 4 screws that hold it in, popped out the light, disconnected and the lighter wire. It seems to want to pull out on the drivers side but seems to be hung up on the pass side. Im quite confident their is nothing holding it it but is being a pain. Is it just me having an ADHD moment? The slider is still attached to it. My goal is to pull the entire assy out to restore it. Thanks

Did you take the tray out before trying to un screw the whole thing?

Hi Streetrebel, I unscrewed the 4 screws, popped the light socket out, and disconnected the lighter wire. Its almost coming out on the left side, but runs a snag on the right. Should i be able to pull the whole assy including the sliding door/pad as one unit? Thanks
