anyone with a 68 b body preferably a charger or if they are the same in the other models.
and a manual tranny if there different?

i just need a measurement from the tranny crossmember or the inner side of the front leaf spring bracket to the centre of the diff on both sides.

installed a 4 link and need to set the distance in the correct spot i had the measurements but lost the piece of paper, i think my dog ate it haha.

this would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

wish i had a '68 charger....but i dont :headbang: have one.....YET!

If my 69 wasn't buck naked right now, I would gladly help you out.

I do, but i wont be able to get the measurement you want til the weekend, maybe someone can get to it sooner.

no rush buddy, if noone beats you to it it will be greatly appreciated

thanks thats helpful but i cant see any measurements to the centre of the diff

At normal ride height, I have 25-3/8", from where the front spring hanger bolts to the unibody, to the centerline of the rear axle. Same on both sides of course.

haha yes after i originally posted this queation i was hoping noone here found there diff was crab walking., thanks very much IQ52, is that measurement from inner side of leaf bracket closest to the actual frame or diff side of the bracket?

I don't know how to say it. The front spring hanger is held up against the unibody/frame with four bolts. I am not measuring from the bracket, but measuring from the the unibody/frame surface that the hanger bolts to, the surface with the four bolt holes in it.

You'll probably end up adjusting the wheelbase slightly anyway. After I set the rearend in the stock position, I ended up moving the rearend back towards the rear of the car, inside the wheel wells of the Demon, because the 32" tires swelled up at speed and were rubbing the front of the wheelwells. There is plenty of adjustment in the 4-link.

Got any Victoria Bitters?
I'll measure my 70 Superbees' for some V.B !!

you dont like VB do you? that is terrible it is what the creek people and abo's drink.

how about some great northerns or tooheys..
