assembly date on hemi

Having a tough time finding info on this. Could a hemi engine in 67, have an assembly date 4 months before the car was built? Didnt know if this was unusual

I could be way off on this, but here goes. I think the answer is yes, and not just 4 months, it could be a year or more.

I recollect reading that there were no hemi engines built in 67 or 68, that the stockpile of "leftover" hemis was huge from the 66 build year. It took 2 years to use up the backstock.

Apologies if I am passing on bad info. There are many hemi guys out there, someone will add more complete info I'm sure.
