ATF options.

Any fluid will work. You will find on these threads that all of the fluids available out there were used by Joe or Fred or bill, and they all worked with no problems.

So decide how much lubrication you want inside your trans. The type F is the worst lubrication available.
 
Do you run that in all applications, or just the high output stuff? I'm putting a coronet together that's relatively tame (maybe 450hp) compared to some of the monsters on here. Just curious if I need to go that route.
I just posted the notice because it popped up in my e-mail and I thought I would pass it on. I use and recommend Mopar ATF+4 for a superior Dexron replacement in all stock and many modified uses.

The synthetic is nice with combos that can get hot. Racecars with trans brake, or a very loose converter. Or towing trailers. On the street I've run Wallmart Dexron in a bunch of diferent hot rods with no issues.
