Well it took me all day to take out the 8 3/4 and get the Dana in but I did it.:headbang: Need to finish up on friday. Need to get some measurements to order my driveshaft. After that the brakes go on and it will be ready to put windshield/interior. Then off to the track.

Cool!!!!Is it a b body 60 or did you make it up from a full size 60...I,m planning on using a truck 60 and cutting it down for my gtx...It,ll be cheaper than buying a used b body 60...

You sure have came a long way towards finishing that cool ride up. Hope you can join us for a few NSS races next year. Hope you get to race it some this year. poppaj

It is a Strange unit. I had them send me the perches loose because I have an inboard spring kit that the previous owner installed so I didn't know where he put them. I was going to use a Dana from a truck but said the heck with it and went with a S-60.

I hope I get it to the track also. I will need to get a crossram set up OR I could use the inline Edlebrock set up I have but know it will slow me down. Hoping car runs 10.30:idea1: then put the inline set up on and it slows me down to 10.501

I took the car over to a buddies place to do the rear end swap. There were a few guys there and no idea what I had in the trailer. One was doing a 69 Camaro he is putting a 502 in. One doing a 80 Malibu 454 drag car. One that had a "hot"79 T/A street car and a few other car guys. Guy w/ 79 was telling me how this car would scare me and then the others started bragging. I rolled the 65 out of the trailer and fired it up. You should have seen the look on their faces. Made my year!

I'm home today.I'd like to see the car if you got time.Give me a call.Scott309-299-2375

Sorry Hemistix66, I didn't see your message until late. Wasn't in the Burg long today. Just long enough to get some measurements for the driveshaft. Had to go to the ROWVA homecoming parade. I will be back in G-burg next Thursday to do some more work on the car. If you are around give me a call 309 221 9234 should be there ALL day. I thought about giving you a shout on Thurday but had alot of stuff to get done. I will also be there on Friday.
The push in on to get the car to Cordova on Oct 8th. Hope to hear from you next week.

PoppaJ: I hope to make a few events next year. Cordova has a Nostalgia fest in late June and maybe Monster Mopar. Would love to do more but don't have weekends off but it is a start.

They all can talk the talk:eusa_boohoo:but only a few can walk the walk.:icon_rambo:

A few more things got finished this week on the 65. Mocked up/welded and painted the engine limiter. I will put it back on next week. Put new rear shoes and brake hardware on, also put new rear brake lines on. Got the seat braced to the crossbar. Mounted the line lock, just need to bleed the brakes.

I also wanted to rant and rave about my RCI fuel cell!!!! I can not get it to stop leaking. This week I drained the fuel and took the cell out of the car again. I had to take the top off so I could get my hand in it to tighten the fittings. The hole was butchered, not a perfect circle and not even a flat surface. There was no way the plastic o-ring was going to seal. I put some RTV sealer on in(it could be used around gas). I also put thread tape on the threads. I was putting the top ring on and the top was warped/bowed so the holes wouldn't line up:icon_rambo: so I fought with that for a hour. Then the lid wouldn't lock down. The rubber seal wasn't letting in lock down. I guess because the top was bowed but I finally got it to lock down. If it is this hard to get the lid to lock after I put fuel in it then this thing is going in the trash. Heck it still might!!!!

But Hey I still could get the car done for Oct 8th.
