I have to replace the shifter in my 65 Belvedere and thought I'd ask for some opinions/photos of what to go with. I currently have a B&M Starshifter, it's crapped out. I'm thinking about replacing it with a Lokar, they kind of have an old school look

love my turbo action cheetah shifter.great quality and smooth operation.looks are all up to you.

I have a Hurst pistol grip quarter stick in my Pontiac ..works fine looks great ..

In my last 3 cars I've used the B&M Pro ratchet. I'm building a rat 64 dart and using a Mr. Gasket shifter that looks like a old school stick about 14'' high. Might be a piece of crap but won't know till I try it out.Summit part# MRG-7668

tall shifters do not give that "at home" look in the mid 60's car in my opinion...lokar shifter and gear position indicator...what they offer????? this may surprise you....

B&M has always been a good shifter for the money in my opinion...would look to them again..none of these are cheap by the way...the Z-gate being about the lowest in cost in namebrand..no sure what the Mr. Gasket is running...or their quality these days..

I use the Hurst V Matic in my 65...fits under the factory console to boot. I like the trigger operated reverse lockout

I use a TCI Fastgate in mine. Went from a B&M to a Hurst Quarter Stick to a promatic 2. Didn't like the feel or adjustment of any of those. The TCI worked perfect with very little adjustment. $150 or so from Summit.
