AX15 Trans swap

Will a Ax15 5-spd from a 2 wheel drive v-6 Dakota PU work on a small block? I found one with the bell housing for $250 and thought about putting it in my 67 D-100 behind a mild 360 with a tunnel ram.
The guy says the bellhousing bolts up to a small block. I know it would require a fabbed trans mount and I believe it is the one without the internal throwout bearing. It has .75 pilot shaft, 10 spline 1.125 input shaft. All input appreciated.

AX 15 will not take the power of a V8, more of a 4cyl and V6 trans. I would look for a NV3500 from a V8 Dakota. I have found them in V6 sports also. 2000 and newer.

Thanks Jaws. I will seek the 3500. The price was right but if it won't hold up it is just a wasteof time and money, neither of which I have a lot of.
