B and RB; How to tell 'em apart?

When I posted the Satellite in the weeds thread, someone said they could tell it was a 383 in there. I am not that good, if the distributor is in the front, it's a big block, rear it's a small block. So, what is there different in a B vs. RB engine the casual 'looker' can see/identify?
 
RB has the raised pad in front of the Intake toward the right side (facing engine) and it is Horizontal (flat), the B has the same pad, but it is under the distributor and is tilted to the side (it's on the same plane as the blocks deck. Real Easy to see , you just got to know where to look and what to look for.
 
I didn't get it very big, but the pad the RB's have that the LBs don't is right where the arrow is
