Quick shout out to King Engine Bearings...

I was searching high-and-low to find a set of half-groove factory-style main bearings for my 383 Road Runner restoration build and coming up short. Turns out, King makes them in their HP bearing series. Part number #MB 555HP is for the standard size. Super happy with these...

Thats good info to know.... A few years back I freshened the engine in my Challenger, didn't know King had those & very much wanted half groove bearings... Found a set of old stock, had them shipped in only to discover they had the large flange thrust bearing which wouldn't work with my block... Wound up turning a UHMW shaft to 2.627 & clamped the bearing to that so I could turn down the thrust diameter....

Interesting! That's the rout I was headed in too, acquiring NOS main bearings but mine have the correct thrust bearings; actually, I have two sets of the thrust bearings on hand. Pretty wild to look at; the NOS bearings in "Mopar" packaging. I love vintage parts! However, with a bit of shelf wear and the discovery of the King bearings, I decided to spring for the new shelf stuff. Once I confirm the King bearings are a go in every way, I'll probably try and sell the NOS relics... Maybe someone will want standard-size low-deck NOS bearings?
