Does any one know if the 69 B body Disc brake HUB is the same as the 70 B body Hub? I know the rotors are different in 69 with 4 piston, versus 70 single. But is the hub the same if you have an original 2 piece rotor? The 70 have the single rotors at reasonable price, but it looks like for 69 and earlier the easier to find rotor requires you to have the hub as they went the 2 piece route. Thanks

'69's used a one piece rotor so there is no "hub"

'69's used a one-piece rotor. While the "hub" and rotor are actually two pieces, they are assembled with the rotor on the rear and the studs pressed in to keep the pieces attached. To swap the assembly required the unit be taken off the spindle. They were sold as an assembly and called one-piece.

For all intents and purposes, a two-piece assembly would have the rotor fitting over the studs from the outside. The hub would remain on the spindle and the rotor would be retained by the lugs once the wheel is installed.Rotors are sold separately from the hubs. These are a true one piece unit.

Ok, But by todays standards they are being called 2 piece. Regardless, for 69 and earlier folks are making the rotor less hub and you are required to have a hub from an original disc, which you do remove after pressing studs out. The 70-72 is being made as a one piece unit just like they switched to in 73. So my question still stands is the 70 and 69 the same hub assembly. G
