1962-79MoParB-BodyPerfUpgrades.jpgHas anyone purchased this?

First I've seen it. Who is S A?

Have no Idea, lol that is why I asked...$24 to buy it

I have a copy. Not exactly sure if I would tell you it is worth the $24. though.

I have a copy. It's not a bad primer/starting point, but it's also pretty generic, talks about what you "CAN" do and/or what you "SHOULD" do, but not much about HOW to do it.

It doesn't show or discuss much in the way of cheap/quick upgrades, but sure will direct you to back-half the car or swap a high-end k-member replacement...

I'm neutral as far as recommending or not recommending it. It's a decent read, with lots of good ideas, but it doesn't go far enough for me. It does serve as a good starting point for where you might want to go with a B-Body if you're fairly new to them or old cars in general.

To be completely fair, it's all my opinion, and I'm somewhat jaded. The book's pretty clear that our cars supposedly don't handle well and don't stop well, etc. Personally, when everything's working right, and setup right, I *LIKE* the way these cars handle as stock (or mildly improved) and don't see the need for 4-wheel power disc brakes, quick ratio steering, coil-over shocks and and other major overhauls to the suspension/steering, so much of what the book recommends isn't in the cards for my car....hence my jaded attitude.

All good advise....kind of what I thought.

I bought the book - it's a good read to catch up on some of the things that are now available to do some modifications on the old B bodies (talking about my '67) - back when I was a kid and running my '68 R/T - 4 wheel disc brakes would've been great - but that wasn't even a possibility - now it's available as a kit. Front end pieces for the "A" bodies will swap for the "B" bodies - they're much heavier - we didn't know that back then - I'm sure some of the hard core MOPAR people did, but they were few and far between. There were only a couple of us running MOPAR back then, everyone else was into the Camaro, Nova, Chevelle and Mustang crowd.

It's a good start - give you some ideas of what is out there in the market and what direction you may want to work toward, if you haven't been around the muscle cars in awhile, like me.

I'm surprised to see books like this still coming out...w/ the internet and it's infinite sources to all the latest trends/tech and all.

Let's face it, the best resource we have is right here. FBBO. That said, I still like to sit down with a book sometimes.

Agreed. I can't stick my finger between the electronic pages and flip back and forth!

It's an old book republished a few time now...
