Currently rebuilding a gutted interior on a 69 Roadrunner. I didnt get seats in the purchase. I did find these a few days ago and picked them up. I want to order replacement covers, but I need to know what they came out of. I found the color scheme to be a bit weird (black backs, white seat). Pics of the seats and tags underneath are attached. Anyone out there know what these came out of? Thanks in advance, Mopar people know everything!!!

Bucket seat ID.

This is only a guess from what I can see...... but looking at the
seat bottom, it seam's narrower than a 68-69 B-body, and the back's are narrow and taller, and the headrest are oval shaped, so my educated
guess is 70-72 A-body. 73-up A-body, I believe had a different shaped headrest, hope this help's, but there are many other folk's on this site,
that may give you, better valueable advice. Good luck.

From what I can see in the pictures they do look like the correct 69 A and B body buckets you need. The seat frame is the same A or B body , but the tracks are different. The headrest are correct for the 1969 year model.
All mopar bucket seats 70 -up are the high back style with the head rest made into the seat back.
I would give legendary interior call call and get the correct seat covers and foam.

Someone told me today that they looked like 68 barracuda seats. I have no idea yet, but there are a lot of sharp minds on here, someone may recognize them. I just want to buy the right seat covers, thats all. Unless they are something special, then I want to see them go to the right car. Time will tell............

Hi Matt,
It is amazing how many different style of seats that I have seen in 68-70 Mopars. I appreciate the input, the guy I bought them from swore they were 69 RR seats. I have seen the headrests in 68 Cudas, and honestly, I just want the right part.

So would you have the tracks that I need for a 69 RM23?

thanks AL

I am sorry, but I do not have the correct tracks. They may very well repop the tracks as PG classic has came out with different year and body repop tracks. You could also post a wanted add in the wanted section.
You can also look on Ebay at mopar bucket seats and tracks to see if you can find a used set. Just try to make sure you research them and know what to look for. 68-69 B body bucket seat tracks should work out for you. On the headrest as best to my knowledge anything built after 12-1968 had to have headrest. My 69 GTX was built 10-68 and does not have them.

Final resolution on the seats...... I figured some day someone else might need the same information and I would help them out. Many thanks to Matt, you know your stuff and were right on the money.

Per Ron Halbritter at Legendary, the following part numbers will work for these seats. He believes them to be 69 B Body seats due to the design and the fact the headrests are on them (as Matt pointed out)

Front: AA69CR00010 Rears: AA69CR00040 for the HARDTOP

Rears: AA69CR00050 for the CONVERTIBLE

Now we all know! Thanks again, AL:grin:
