B body steering brace with tach

Sorry for not having a pic so I will try to describe best I can.Is there a different brace or do you remove it all together when installing a tic toc tach?
The standard brace that runs from the door jamb where the drivers side bottom dash bolt goes to the steering/brake bracket is in the way.1969 coronet.

I installed my tach without removing any bracing. 1969 Super Bee.

I just realized the brace I put back in was from the non rally dash.Ok I will take it out.Thanks

Rally dash applications do not use the brace
