Hey all!
Have done a fair bit of searching around to see if anyone else has had this problem, but havent had any luck!
I have a fully rebuilt 727 torqueflite with a reverse pattern manual valve body. It also has the TCI deep cast alloy pan on it.

When I am installing the cable bracket for the pro ratchet, I cant get the bolts to go into the pan properly and it looks like the bracket will be too low (mainly due to the pan rim being so much thicker than the standard job). I have left out the spacers as per the instructions.

Do I need to grind the edge of the bracket a bit to make it fit the pan and help me line up the bolts properly? With the current setup it looks like I will have to install the little nut/flange thing from the bottom side of the shift lever as i is sitting very low...

Anyone else had experience with this? I can take some photos tonight if that helps.

if you wanna keep that pan you will need to modify the bracket to work with it.i have run into this with other shifters.normally the mods are pretty minor and shouldnt cause any problems.pics wouldnt hurt.

Thanks for the reply mate! I ended up grinding a bit off the bracket so it sat nice and snug against the pan, was able to bolt it up nicely. Adjusted the cable and checked all of the adjustments and it was sweet. Shifts nice and smooth too!

I ended up mounting the cable on the under side of the shift lever instead of from the top, it comes very close to the case of the trans but doesnt catch on it :)
