Depends - a lot of guys like building the B400 blocks because of their larger bore... I like the RB440 because you can get more stroke out of it and thus usually more cubic inches.
I would build what I had and not go looking for something different. Both make great power it all comes down to your personal preference. I wanted to build a 400/470 but a 440 made itself available quicker and for the right price. Currently building 440/512 for my 66' Satellite. I wanted a b-block because I wanted to stay original looking and my car was a 361 big block to start. I am happy with my choice and have purchased all parts for build. Hope to be complete and dynoed shortly.
